How do I get there?

All roads lead to the heart of the vineyards! Whether you’re coming for a gourmet weekend, a romantic getaway or a family holiday, Margaux Médoc Tourisme welcomes you to a unique setting, between prestigious vineyards, wild estuary and typical Médoc villages. Easy to get to from Bordeaux or other major cities, you can reach us by car, train, bus, ferry or even plane. We’ll explain it all to you!

Coming by car

From Bordeaux (about 45 minutes) :

  • Take the D2 towards Blanquefort / Macau / Margaux etc
  • Follow the D2 to Cussac-Fort-Médoc, while exploring our territory
  • Ideal for a jaunt along the Route des Châteaux

From Paris:

  • Autor A10 motorway towards Bordeaux
  • Bordeaux Rocade A630, exit 7 or 8
  • Take the D2 towards Margaux via Blanquefort

From Toulouse:

  • A62 motorway to Bordeaux
  • Join the A630 ring road, exit 7 or 8
  • Drive towards Margaux via the D2

From the Nord Médoc or Royan:

  • Embark on the Royan – Le Verdon-sur-Mer ferry
  • Follow the D1215 towards Lesparre, then turn off onto the D2

Coming by water

  • Bac Blaye – Lamarque
  • Bac Royan – Le Verdon-sur-Mer

Coming by train

  • The TER Bordeaux – Le Verdon-sur-Mer line crosses the whole of the Médoc. It allows you to get as close as possible to the vineyards.
  • Advised stop: Margaux Cantenac station
  • Taxi or car hire available on request

Coming by bus

The TransGironde network serves several communes in Margaux Médoc Tourisme. It’s a good alternative if you’re arriving without a car.

Useful lines:

  • Line 703: Bordeaux – Lesparre
    → Serves Moulis-en-Médoc, Listrac-Médoc, Avensan, Castelnau-de-Médoc
  • Line 705: Bordeaux – Pauillac
    → Possible stop at Margaux-Cantenac

Travelling by plane

The Bordeaux-Mérignac international airport is just 35-40 minutes from Margaux.
