Created in 2019, the Parc naturel régional Médoc is part of the large family of regional nature parks in France. It covers 51 communes spread between the estuary and the ocean, grouped within 4 communities of communes. Its mission? To protect, enhance and sustainably promote this unique territory.
A Regional Nature Park is not simply a reserve: it is a collective project for the territory, driven by its inhabitants, elected representatives and partners. The aim: to reconcile landscape preservation and local economic development.
