Château Lamothe Bergeron

In the heart of the Haut-Médoc region, between Margaux and Saint-Julien, Château Lamothe-Bergeron invites you on an immersive journey through its world of wine, a blend of tradition, innovation and emotion. This Cru Bourgeois Supérieur is more than just a winery: it’s a sensory experience that combines heritage, creativity and expertise.

An elegant home with a vibrant history

Château Lamothe-Bergeron welcomes you to a majestic, fully restored 19th-century building. Nestling in a 67-hectare vineyard, the estate is now the pride of Cussac-Fort-Médoc. As soon as you enter, the charm takes hold: neoclassical architecture, landscaped gardens, a serene atmosphere… every detail heralds a visit out of time.

And yet, the history here is very much alive. It began at the end of the 18th century with Jacques de Bergeron, a scientist and pioneer of modern viticulture. The estate has lived through the centuries, growing in beauty, adapting and entering a new era since its acquisition by CAPSSA in 2019. A new impetus that focuses on innovation without ever losing the soul of the château.

A unique scenographic tour of the Médoc

Chateau Lamothe-Bergeron stands out for its immersive tour, hailed with a Grand Prix d’Or at the Trophées de l’Œnotourisme. An exceptional scenography guides visitors through the key stages of winemaking, while telling the story of the estate in a lively and poetic way.

We wander through the cellars, between light and sound, projections and sensory atmospheres. Here, wine is told as much through words as through the senses: touch, smell, listen, taste. The aim is simple and sincere: to make wine accessible to everyone, novices and enthusiasts alike.

A journey of the senses, between wine and delicacies

For those who wish to go further, themed workshops enhance the experience: gourmet tours with wine and macaroon pairings, personalised tastings, family discoveries… Each formula is designed to combine pleasure and transmission.

The tasting, the highlight of the visit, takes place in one of the secret areas of the cellar-boutique, a veritable confidential cocoon. Here we discover the estate’s emblematic cuvées, such as Château Lamothe-Bergeron, elegant and well-balanced, or Demoiselles de Bergeron, lighter but just as expressive.

A commitment to the future

True to its philosophy, the estate cultivates its vines according to the principles of sustainable viticulture. Since 2018, it has been awarded High Environmental Value certification, a mark of its deep respect for the land and natural cycles. No weedkillers, no insecticides, mechanical working of the soil: everything is done to preserve the environment and guarantee an authentic wine.
